W. S. Sundaresan Memorial

Swiss Teams

Team Nest Inn played some brilliant bridge to comprehensively win the W S Sundaresan Memorial Super League held yesterday. After being rudely woken up by the Spade Ace Team, they girthed their loins and literally showed no respect to the Respect Us team, walloping them 20-0. While they did lose the next round to Monica Jajoo, they put in strong performances in the post lunch session to emerge comprehensive winners.

In second place, some 15 VPs behind, were team Sensarma, who played steady bridge throughout and got one thumping win against the Spade Ace team.

We also have to respect team Respect Us who came third not withstanding two thrashings at the hands of Nest Inn and R K Sinha. They just managed to pip the latter to fourth place in the last round.

IMP Pairs

N K Gupta and Sandeep Thakral convincingly won the IMP pairs championship ahead of Bindiya Naidoo and Priya Ranjan Sinha. In third place were Atanu Ganguly and Indranath Chatterjee.

This event saw the participation of a 10 year old boy called Tirtharaj Chowdhury. He has obviously been well trained by his father and, according to the champion, Sandeep Thakral, has lots of promise and has 'the makings of a star '.

The event was marred by a pair leaving the event a few rounds before the end as one of them was facing connection issues. We have repeatedly been stressing that leaving an event mid way is unacceptable as it can seriously affect the smooth running of the event. This pair will be banned from participating in BFH events till February 21, 2021.

Prize winners are requested to share their bank details with us to enable us to reach their winnings to them.
