Que Sera?

Sukrit Vijayakar

After the last couple of posts featuring some beautiful thoughts and poetry, I have to confess to a desire to sound as beautiful. The title of this post is just an exotic way of saying Upcoming Events. So here goes

Holi Hai!! (19-20 Mar)

BridgeFromHome would love to have the bridge fraternity celebrate the festival among themselves. While we cannot throw color, we can certainly play bridge. In order to allow everybody to have short stints of bridge, leaving them free to do other things, we decided to conduct a teams tournament only.

So, while the top 8 (6 if entries are less) teams qualify for a super league, the rest of us will continue playing the Swiss League with the scores carried over from the previous day. However, on day 2, you could meet teams you had played on day 1.

BFH is guaranteeing Rs. 25,000 in cash prizes to the best performers. We hope a lot of you will come and play Holi with us.

Global Amity MP Pairs (27-28 Mar)

In these trouble filled times, one seriously yearns for peace. BridgeFromHome along with a patron is attempt to create an event where people from around the world can join us. In order to accommodate the US, this event will be conducted in the evenings on both days. While the time is currently set for 600 pm, we are receiving requests from the West Coast of US to push the event back to 630 pm to enable them to play as well. If the time is changed, we will intimate you as soon as this is done.

This is again an event where everybody plays on both days i.e. no eliminations just stratification into gold and silver.

Cash Prizes worth Rs. 10,000 are guaranteed.

We hope to see all of you participate in large numbers for this event as well.
