The Dr. R N Singhal Memorial Quarterly Event

Introduction

This tournament has been instituted by one of our regular patrons, not only of BridgeFromHome in particular, but also of bridge in general, in memory of his father.

Today's event is the first of four events to be held, one every quarter, to celebrate bridge and his memory.

The general format of the tournament shall be IMP pairs, though the specifics may vary from event to event.

This Event

This quarter's event has been structured as a two day pair event with bifurcation into Gold and Silver at the end of the first day. We are pleased to see that just over 50 pairs have registered for the event, though we would have liked more.

Qualification

20 pairs shall qualify for the Gold Final.  The remaining shall play the Silver Section

Prizes

There are six prizes in each section as shown alongside.

We are grateful to our sponsor for his sponsorship which enables all of us to have an enjoyable weekend of bridge. To the sponsorship amount, we have added some of the receipts from the entry fees.

Depending on the number of entries, we would always increase prizes as and when feasible.

We hope to see greater participation in future editions.

Wishing participants all the best for this edition
