Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Table of statistical "Tricknometry" can be tricky!
Bridge is a simple game with minimal need for maths, so you think.
The common belief is that to "Pass" the test in bridge, one just needs to know to count from 1 to 13.
Yes, basically one must be able to count and add. In addition, a rudimentary knowledge of "Deduction" can help. It will have a "Multiplier" effect on the table to "divide" the adversaries!
There is uniformity among experts when they say a bridge player must think - not just think vertically but also laterally 😌
And you need to do it expeditiously at the table, unfortunately😢.
As a declarer or defender, one has to think in all "Angles" - and draw a line ( read : draw a conclusion). You may not know trignometry but you certainly have to master "Trickenometry"! 🙃
There are books galore on percentage plays, probabilities and statistical possibilities.
But nothing can help you as much as your Tricknometry. Just learn the art to make the tricks, scientifically 😃
After all, the trick of the trade is to make tricks, even by tricking the gullible opponents.
Euthanasia is legal in Bridge 😅☺
Happy bridging,
Cheers
VNR
