Ladies and Gentlemen,
" Water finds its own level - under and over the Bridge! "
When it rains, it pours. And when it pours it floods, under and over the Bridge!
For a change, there was a different fight amongst Cauvery, Godavari, Krishna - all of which confluenced with Adyar & Cooum in a kaleidoscope . To add a pun and punch the sluice gates were opened and it was free for all!
The finals of both, the World Cup T20 and the Chandru memorial, were akin in one sense - teams from "Down Under" raised their heads like a Phoenix out of the ashes ๐
The crackers were spared for much after a wet Diwali. The left over mixture tasted better in a "Pot pourri" of bridge feast, alright ๐
The Chandru memorial, hitherto a local fare in TN expanded to a Regional fanfare (just one of the rare benefits out of the pandemic, no doubt)!
The spread was alluring, to say the least. It was a rare combination of idly sambar with pappu pulusu topped off with bisibele and avial in a tongue tickling spread๐
Some big names were down the drain - both in T20 and Chandru memorial. But for the discerning lovers of both the sports, it was a welcome change to go a- la- carte rather than a set menu!
I am sanguine that this is an ominous sign of things to come. It is a divine intervention to level up things, which may be for the good of the games in subject.
Congrats to all the podium finishers in Team and pairs. After all, water finds its own level, even in Bridge!
Connecting the rivers is a dream project, still on paper. But the game of Bridge has shown the way โ
So don't despair - even if you are down under, your day will come up, maybe in the next mon-soon!
Happy bridging, rain or shine.

Sir,
Some content rather than word soup would be nice.
Could have posted who won Chandru Memorial Teams.
Or at-least you could have posted who won 3rd place in Matchpoint Pairs.
