Wuthering Heights of Bridge

V N Ramamoorthy

Ladies and Gentlemen

It is our time. Yes it is time for India (Bharat) to reach dizzying heights in all fields - sports, economy, cinema and art et al.

We may be a nation or a union of states ( a controversy created out of political ignorance or learnt illiteracy, take your pick). But we are a United Nation with renewed vigor and perseverance to perform at world class.

Supremacy in art, science and sports - we are going there with two Oscars in the bag.

My wish list includes the coveted Bermuda Bowl for India - soon πŸ™‚βœŒ

5,000 years ago we were the teachers for the world - whether it was science, maths, yoga, spirituality, arts - we achieved the acme of perfection. We showed the way of life to the rest of the world 😌

Now it has come a full circle - it is our time again.

Our cup will be full including the "Bowl" for sure!

We will bridge all the gaps on our way to reach the wuthering heights inspite of the naysayers and catcallers.

Be proud to be an Indian playing bridge 😌

Happy bridging,

Cheers
VNR

  • It’s a lovely notion.
Dream on for this year at any rate.
I’ll be amazed if India make the KO stages.
And don’t get me wrong I’m fully supportive of Indian bridge and its future success.
England have not qualified this year.
The Field is exceptional and many play cutting edge bridge - hyper aggressive, forcing errors. Indian bridge is conservative and does not put enough pressure on opponents.
Two years time India might make the KO stages, but not with steady, traditional bridge.
Just my opinion - I look forward to being proved wrong.
