Mayank Sinha Memorial

Mayank Sinha, son of A K Sinha, was a brilliant and gifted soul. An exceptionally bright educational career was capped off with an MS in Computer Science from Strathclyde University, Glasgow. He had embarked on a professional career with HCL Technologies an NOIDA and then in Sweden. Unfortunately, his path thereafter was strewn with multiple hurdles and he succumbed to them some time last year.

He was also trying to learn bridge and, in his first tournament in Acol Club London he performed extremely creditably with his father. His loss was devastating to Mr. Sinha but, with the help of his other son Ravi, his wife Swati and friends, Mr. Sinha is overcoming the loss and has decided to live with such fond memories of Mayank that he does possess.

Mr. Sinha has also created a trust fund which will focus on treatment of mentally challenged persons who are unable to avail of treatment due to financial or other considerations. He will be the principal trustee of this trust.

This is the first tournament that Mr. Sinha is instituting in his memory and he promises to host such tournaments periodically in future.

Let us come together to honor the life of Mayank in the company of Mr. Sinha.

The event will be conducted on Wednesday, 8th April, 2026 at 6:30 pm

Scoring will be Match Points (Swiss) over 20 boards

Prizes

Cash Prizes worth minimum  Rs. 50,000 will be distributed among the winners. Should participation increase, this amount, as well as the number of prizes could increase.

Pairs without camera or mike will not be eligible for prizes
