Amarnath Banerjee Memorial

In the month of June, 2026, with the passing away of Amarnath Banerjee, we lost another stalwart of Indian bridge.

As a player, his achievements have been tremendous. In addition to several national titles, he has won many events, both teams and pairs.

As a person, he was a gentleman to the core except, perhaps, at the bridge table where he was wont to do a cheeky thing or two. Even while battling with a severe illness in the last few years of his life, you never saw him without a smile on his face at the bridge table.

As a teacher, he inspired many students to not only play bridge, but also to play better bridge. And it is these students who are inviting you to to participate in the Amarnath Banerjee Memorial MP Pairs Tournament, which they are conducting in his memory.

The event will be conducted on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 6:30 pm on RealBridge

Scoring will be Match Points over 20 boards

Prizes

Cash Prizes worth minimum  Rs. 50,000 will be distributed among the winners. Should participation increase, this amount, as well as the number of prizes could increase.

Pairs without camera or mike will not be eligible for prizes

Entry Fee: Rs. 500 per pair
