How to CHOose your Partner!!!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

In Bridge matrimony, match-making is a tougher task than one can imagine, believe you me 😂.
What is best? Male - Male, Male - Female, Female - Female, Old - Young or Young - Young?
It is like choosing a wierd soup from the Chinese menu 😢. There are enough proofs and evidence to support or sabotage each of these choices!

Funnily, one day you choose a stranger and win - alas you find them flocking together till they lose 😂. Stranger are the ways how both marriages and divorces are both made in Heaven 😇.

Some players are very lucky in "Bridge polygamy", many others do it for want of anything better!

At an odd hour of the day you get the itch to play. You go on line and the choices are like " Kilimanjaro Goulash, Croatian Rhapsody, Spanish Khichdi " ... or some such thing.  None of your friends or other familiar names are on line.

You make a bee- line to the partnership desk and find a variety of choices with varying skill levels and attractive names with labels that remind you of Krishna Sweets!

You throw the dart and pick one with a juicy looking name and a profile full of strange gadgets like "Albaran", " Fisherman's Coup" and what have you! And you regret later, sorry, soon enough!

The combo of husband - wife is another story - I will write on that another day 😅. But an interesting anecdote comes to mind - At a club social bridge, the husband ( clearly a poorer player than the wife , went hammer and tongs on the wife for al the mistakes he did! Midway through he went to the rest room and the wife guffawed to others " This is the first time in the whole evening I am sure of what he is holding in his hand" 🙃😂.

You can go on writing till eternity on bridge partnership and management.

I just want to conclude by sharing with you the Golden rules on partnership ( I learnt them the hard way 😃) :

• # Be generous to a fault with your complements
• # Be stingy and choosey with your comments
• # When partner commits a blunder? Just keep mum! Silence speaks louder than a thousand words 😌

And turn your partnership woes into wows!

Now tell me is it your marriage or divorce "On the cards" ?
