How to seat yourself in a teams event

Introduction

In team events conducted by BridgeFromHome, the room is organized such that all members of a team sit at a table assigned to them. The tables are sorted in alphabetical order.

This is a manual on how to login easily for your ready reference.

Please book mark this page for ready reference.

Would recommend that even people who know the process book mark it so that they can share with their team mates. This will really be of help to us.

We will try to take each step mentioned in the instructions and elaborate them for you.

Go to BridgeFromHome.com

This is the place where most not tech savvy people go wrong. Almost all the calls I have fielded on this step have been because people end up on the page where the event is listed.

So, here are a few pointers.

1. When we tell you to go to BridgeFromHome.com, we are telling you to go to the Home Page

You can see the address of the web page boxed in Red. You can notice that apartfrom BridgeFromHome.com, you see nothing else in the address bar.
Also, if you are at the home page, you should see the image below (we have boxed it in green.

2. If you do not see the above, you are not at the home page.

Even if you are not, that it not a big issue. It is easily corrected as shown below

In the image alongside, you can see that the page has something written after 'bridgefromhome'. Therefore, this is not the home page. In order to reach to home page, all you have to do is to click on Home, shown in the blue square here. You will be taken to the first page.

Look for the Seating Block

You can see a block below the banners (It is almost always the first block) which shows the seating for any event.
You can click on the appropriate tab.

Click on the player link

And log in to your room. Once the game starts, you will even be able to see the draw over there.

 

This will open the login link in a new table or page. Go to that page.

On this page click Login

You will see all the tables as shown below

As you can see alongside, teams are arranged alphabetically in order of their team name. Therefore, it should be easy for you to find your table and seat yourself.

All four participants for a round are expected to sit at the table bearing their team's names

The software will move the East West pair of the team to their scheduled opponents automatically.

At the end of the round, the software will return you to your table.

It is recommended that participants not playing the next round click on the 'Leave' button adjacent to their names. This will help your team mates playing the next round to seat themselves without any problems
