We are at the half way stage of the Swiss League and, at this stage, Team Sahyadri continues to lead the pack. A newly cast Team Pradeep Goenka, which is a star studded team consisting of Rana Roy, Bhabesh Saha, Abhijit Chakraborty and Samir Basak along with Pradeep Goenka is in 2nd place with Team Monica Jajoo in 3rd place.
The top 8 teams are as shown below. However, any of the next 11 teams could easily qualify with a string of good results. The full results can be seen here. We wish all the teams the very best of luck.
Peiyush Jain from team Sahyadri has recently returned to Bangalore after a long stint in the US. The author remembers having played at a table with him over 10 years ago. He and Rajendra Gokhale used to be a regular partnership in the US around that time. We hope to see a lot more of him in future online events conducted by us as well as live events around the country.
The IMP pairs event now has close to 70 pairs have signed up. While it starts this evening at 5 pm, entries close at 1 pm today. Those who qualify for the knock outs can join the pairs later only if they have registered for the pairs earlier. Those who have yet to do so, please Register here.
