This is the second edition of the tournament in the memory of Smt. Laxmi Mujumdar, the mother of one of our regular participants, Shri Diwakar Mujumdar.
The event will be played from 17-19 June, 2022.
Event Format
The event format will depend on the number of entries in the event. In case the no. of entries are up to 26, then Format (A) will be used and if it is more than 28, then Format (B) will be used.
Format A: A simple IMP Howell movement with upto 27 rounds of 4 boards each.
All pairs will play each other. The number of rounds and boards per round will depend on the number of pairs.
Format B: A Qualification Round followed by Gold and Silver categorization.
The qualification will be played over 9 rounds of 6 boards each. Two rounds will be played on Friday, June 17 and the remaining 7 will be played on Saturday, June 18.
After 9 rounds, the field will be split into Gold and Silver. Both groups will play 7 rounds of 6 boards each. The number of qualifiers will depend on the number of entries.
The event will be played on RealBridge
Scoring will be Cross IMPs converted to VPs
Trios are not allowed
Availability of Video and Audio is Mandatory for all players. Failure to be visible and audible will attract penalties.
Withdrawals mid way through the tournament will affect the whole event and therefore not allowed.
Supplemental Conditions of Contest
Entry Fee : Rs. 1,200 per pair
Early Bird Entry Fee of Rs. 1,000 per pair upto 12th June ,2022.
