BridgeFromHome had been wanting to conduct a memorial event to Kushari for more than 15 months now. While it has been 15 months since his passing away, we never wavered in our search for some sponsors to conduct such an event. And once we found them, we did our best to conduct it in the earliest convenient time slot for all players.
We cannot say enough words in gratitude to our sponsors who have insisted on anonymity. But without you, this event would not have taken off.
Having tied up the sponsors, the Pritish Kushari Memorial event would not have taken off without your overwhelming response. Running a game featuring 45 teams has filled our hearts with joy. It is after a long time that all of us have gathered together from the comfort of our homes to play a high quality national event. Almost all the top players in the country are participating, be it from their regular teams or from elsewhere in the event their teams have not entered the competition.
Day 1
After two rounds at the end of day 1, we have Jackalls (Arpan Banerjee - Hemanta Kumar Sarmah - Mridul Das - Mukesh Ghaatiya - Subhrajit Mukhopadhyay - Vivek Nambiar) leading the event from Gladiators (Abdi Naffar - Anirban Sarkar - Arun Majhi - Arvind Jain - Partho Banerjee - Tarun Singhal). There is still a long way to go and we wish all of you the very best.
The top 8 finishers will qualify for the Knock Outs which start on Saturday Afternoon. We will aim to broadcast the knock outs.
IMP Pairs
For those of you who couldn't participate in the Swiss League as well as those who don't qualify for the knock outs, there is an IMP Pairs event starting Saturday afternoon. Entries close at 2 pm on Saturday and the event itself starts at 5 pm. We hope to see all of you participate in this event in large numbers as well.
