Dr. R. N. Singhal Memorial – A review and upcoming events

SV Ramana Rao and N R Naidu win the event

S V Ramana Rao and N R Naidu led the field almost from the very beginning to comfortably win yesterday's one day IMP pairs event. They won with a score of 83.63 IMPs, far ahead of the second placed Somesh Bhattacharya and D. Mukherjee who, with an average second session could score only 56.88 IMPs.

Detailed results for the session be seen here

A total of 44 pairs participated in this event, a wonderful turnout despite the short notice. We thank all of you for your response. While we do apologize for the short notice, we are a bit confused these days about your response to weekend events given a: competing events and b: domestic pressures.

If you would like to participate in an event this Sunday, please do indicate so by commenting on the post. Please note that your so liking would indicate a commitment to participate, else it would be difficult for us to respond.

We once again thank our sponsor for supporting this cause.

Laxmi Mujumdar Memorial Mixed Pairs (17-19 June).

Yesterday, we had erroneously mentioned that early bird entries close on 5th June. Participants can still avail of the early bird discount till Sunday, 12th June.

We once again note that this event unfortunately clashes with another live event. While I believe this was inadvertent on both our parts, we believe that this will be an ongoing feature of life as it goes forward. Events will always be available and it will be up to you, dear reader, to choose where you would like to play.
