Ladies and Gentlemen
After a gap of two years (or is it 3?), the much sought after Kodai Bridge is back!
Thanks to Dr Ravi Ramamurthy and the organising team of Kodai Club. They ensure you have nice ambience, quiet and enjoyable game, delectable gastronomic experience et al.
As the altitude gains, your attitude also changes for better, eh?
No tempers flying, no tantrums, no harsh exchanges. Just the blissful bridge experience combined with best hospitality, fire-side fellowship on the soft green lawns. What more can a Bridger ask for?
The highlight of this year's Kodai tourney? Almost 30% of the players were Ladies 👌🥰😌
Whether the Government is able to achieve 33% reservations for women, I cannot guarantee. But in bridge we are on our way. This time thanks to Narayan Iyer, there were 4 teams consisting of beginners who started playing only 1-3 years ago. And majority of them Ladies. The services done to bridge by him cannot be understated.
I was accommodated in a large, lovely, Victorian style room facing the Kodai Lake. But there were more ripples in the Bridge arena than the lake!
Ripples of laughter, camaraderie and fun mingled with competitive bridge was what the doctor ordered. You leave with a nostalgic desire wanting more!
You come to Kodai to enjoy a bridge carnival and, if you incidentally win a prize, it is icing on the cake 🙂
Keep your appetite for bridge and fun alive for next February, 👍
Happy bridging,
Cheers
VNR
