There are pluses and minuses for both versions, obviously.
When you are playing online with camera there are definite advantages, like

- What's cooking for breakfast at Kakaji's at Vadodara
- Various brands of ceiling fans preferred in different states.
- Above all, the on line version has a "sex appeal"🤣
It is a combination of Doordarshan and All India Radio 😃, in black & white!
There are of course, a couple of definite advantages, playing on line - You can't
- Revoke
- Bid or lead out of turn
On the other hand, you are susceptible to "Misclicks"when playing on line. To add insult to injury " Undos" may not be allowed ðŸ˜
And when you are off line, live, face to face, there are benefits too:
- No risk of misclicks
- Sound and smell of camaraderie
- "Close - up" Smiles from partners and adversaries
- If in Alleppey Or Goa you could touch the waves of Arabian Sea
- If in Coonoor Or Kodai, rub your shoulders with the Clouds of Western Ghats.
But the down side is, you can revoke. Or bid out of turn. And you have to grin and bear the ugly body languages of friends & foes alike.
All said and done, it doesn't matter. Be it online or offline, you make a bee line to the bridge table out of sheer addiction.
"You are On" - even if it is "Off - line", Right?
